You may have recently seen in the Press that St Edmund’s continues to remain in the top 8% of schools nationally and the top school in Portsmouth which is a fantastic achievement.

As an ‘Outstanding’ school we continually make improvements to ensure that students have the best surroundings for their learning.  We also take on-board feedback from students via our Student Council on ways they would like to enhance areas within the school.

Last academic year we were asked by students to look at warmer sports kit for the colder climate and following consultation by the PE Sports Council students chose a quarter zip training top as the perfect layer to take the chill off any outdoor training and after school training.

This training top has been incorporated into our School Uniform Policy but will be optional for students to purchase.  

Students must still conform to the current PE uniform of:

• Black, green & white sports top with school logo.
• Black, green and white sports shorts.
• School kit socks (compulsory).
• Plain black tracksuit bottoms.
• Plain black tracksuit top (outside only) or the new optional training top with school logo.

Due to limited storage for our uniform, we will be supplying the new optional training top on a pre-order basis only.    The PE top will be at a cost of £15 to purchase and payment is required at the time of the pre-order.  Students should ensure they try the sample tops to ensure the correct size is ordered.

A pre-order form is enclosed if your child would like to purchase one of these tops. The deadline for pre-orders is Monday 2^nd December 2019 then the school will be looking at placing the bulk order with our supplier.

A sample of all sizes is available from Student Services and it is encouraged that students try on the training top during break time or lunch time in Student Services as the sizing is different to that of the school PE top.
